Mother VS Father
As a kid from what I Think is a pretty healthy family I have found an interest in comparing the roles of my parents and how they differ from each other. One of the first major things that I noticed was that mothers are wonderful at the nurturing side of parenting, especially the caring side. Don't get me wrong, dads are also great nurturers, but moms are just built for the role. Mothers are very adept at sensing people's feelings and helping with emotions, while fathers are a bit better at the physical side of loving.
I think evolution has had a part of play in the development of the family orientation. In the past you can see even more evidence of the family having roles, like early Indians where the mothers stayed and taught the children while the fathers hunted and protected the families. It's been an interesting week being able to take a look at my family and see the difference that my mom and dad have had when taking care of the family.
